day 1.
woke up at wad.. 6:30+??? yawnnnn. went to church and kinda stoned a bit.. was pretty stoney on the bus too. they sorta renovated yong peng.. so its now slightly cleaner but with less flies. but the stuff there costs more too. had to wait quite a while for keys when we reached there. was rooming with isaac tng and nicholas siew.. isaac is one crazy guy man. brought his friend's psp along so he was forever late if i didnt chase him cos he just wanted to play.. -shakes head- haha but nicholas was better. woke up immediately when my handphone alarm rang (maybe it was just really loud.. lol)
ok ice breakers.. four tribes.. then group mascot and group name time. after brainstorming and producing four other names that included 'care bears', our group decided on Keepers Of The Light instead, to tie in with our group song, shine Jesus shine and Matt. 5:16. our mascot was a drawing of a pyron-style hand (the fire guy in x-men).
dinner.. where we all tried to sit together as a group.. like 16 pple at a table? lololol. then we put up the aggies singing skit for the adults. first devotion for that night was by uncle winston.. remember it was really powerful.. that God has a purpose for everything we do or wherever we are. and hearing the story of how God brought him to church was just amazing. first lesson was an intro where kelvin talked about the parable of the fig tree and how we should all bear fruit. aft tt slept at 1130pm.
day 2.
alarm clock rings at 535am. like.. whoaaa. but still got energy!! everyone was down kinda on time for the 'surprise activity' in white t-shirts and black shorts.. to find themselves enlisted in training for the Lord's army. haha. despite getting bitten by many many mosquitoes (bzzz..) well i noe that it was really fun and all but army is gonna be nothing like it.. haha.
lesson 2.. moses with 'it cant be me'. about how we often make excuses to God not to use our gifts to serve God. then lesson 3: joseph with 'it could be me'. this was one of the most relevant lessons cos a lot of us are at a stage where we are not sure what God has in stall for us.. but we still trust in God to use us for his purposes.
afternoon games were a blastttttttttttttt!!!! i think it was a really good first time that we organised rotational station games cos it got everybody involved. there was funny water games like just answering questions to splash each other (sorry gareth!! lolol), water bombing, captains ball with a tomato (ewwwwwwwwww) weird treasure hunt game, and andrea jumps, andrea kills. haha.
sopping wet, decided to eat dinner b4 bathing. lesson 4 was on 'its gonna be me', with reference to David.. was slightly harder to relate to. yeap.
slept at 12.
day 3.
woke up at 545. arrgghhh. lol. but still can. prayer walk was quite good. i think it was just right for a first prayer walk for some. despite the mosquitoes (bzzzzt.) last lesson was on 'its not about me' and how pride might take over us when we are 'up there'. that is probably why God gave us weaknesses, as stated in 2 cor 12:9. aldous and raj shared their testimonies aft tt.. and aldous testimony was really really touching.. he has really been there, done that, drugs, temptations, everything. how he was called to serve in full time ministry is truly amazing. he realised that money isnt everything and.. what i gathered is that God has really called him to His purpose. raj also shared his work and his special sms ministry and involvement in singing. he sings great!! aft that was uncle lee hock's workshop, which i think could have been much better if we had more time.
afternoon, the adults pangsehed the telematch (boo!!) haha. was quite fun anyway especially with the funky big ball.
then at night, the skits!!!!! haha the highlight. well i cudnt really understand what was going on half the day for some of the skits.. but anyway it was quite funny. especially the x-men by shawn's group!! haha. and our group won the skit segment!! woohoo!! which lead us to our final victory!! yay. our skit was about the scene in heaven when God plays back all our 'CCTV footage' and sees whether we used our gifts for him or not. haha the army, doctor and toilet scene were all funny. was ok that we dint really get any prize.. but the feeling of winning was great :))
stayed up to write letters to as many pple as possible.. some went to watch world cup and stuff.. but none of us facilitators cud stay beyond 3 haha.. all too tireddddd. i slept at 3am. buay tahan. growing old haha.
anyways, i think this camp was one of the best camps, since two years ago when i was sec 3, the camp in june. yeap but was discussing with irvin, after attending so many camps sometimes we just feel that we cant get the old 'feeling' of past camps.. maybe cos we're growing old or what (hey i'm still 17.. lol) but i find its getting slightly harder to connect cos i dun play dota or soccer or what dunno what younger guys are chasing after nowadays. but still we are all united in Christ, so thats something we all have in common. and i dun mind playing those weird weird games now and then. lolz.
yup thats all i can remember for now.. its getting late!! i shud sleep soon. kk cya!!
